∗ HAPPY 2018 ! ∗

Here is another map I just finished my last map this year. This time we take zombies into WW2 on D-Day. Please leave my image on map as credit to original creator.

How to install: Extract everything inside .zip folder in your CS2D folder (copy/replace)...done !

Map Features
• Artillery and mortar barrage for CT's
• Artillery is destroyable
• Lot's of bunkers
• Trenches
• Guts all over the beach for zombies to use as bombs
• Mud and blood

∗ UPDATE 04/January/2018 ∗
• Added new artillery sound, sprites, more bunkers
• Changed some tiles
• Artillery and mortar are now destroyable (stops explosion barrage on beach)
• Trenches provide cover now
• The map is more balanced now

@user Pseudon: I like your idea but that would create multiple problems

1) CT's would be able to spawn kill zombies
2) I would need a large invisible gate over the beach (because visible would look ugly), which would confuse new players on why they can't move and probably will make them quit before the timer runs out and gates open
3) Artillery barrage would keep killing zombies that spawn on beach and that will lead to people quiting out of frustration
4) Zombies could have a large space to build a heavy defense on beach which would make the whole artillery and bunker defense pointless, if I set no build zone there then they won't be able to brake trough heavy defended bunkers

I did not aim for realism in this map since this is a zombie mode and realism ends right there. I just wanted to create a D-Day themed zombie map, and that is what I did and currently I like the way it is and don't plan on changing the spawn or anything major


After all you are allowed to edit this the way you like and run it on your server


Realism does not work well with gameplay in this game, its not a game that is based on any realism

@user CrazyPenguin: If you want to please everybody, including those who want realism, you could add sprites of dead bodies and spread the zombie spawns over the body piles. If you want concentrated spawns of such, you can use the possibility of an enfilade which would be a reliable reason for a pile of corpses to be cramped together, but also spawning the zombies in a safe region if the enfilade is along a wall.

@PersonNamedVictor The tileset is limited it does not have any city tiles I can use, if you know any other WW2 theme tileset please let me know

@BcY do you know any other WW2 D-Day themed tileset I can use ? This tileset is limited but its the only one I've got

Wrong tileset usage. It's a really bad looking map to be hones.

1st this is a game not reality
2nd zombies need to spawn from somewhere in zombie mode which makes this spawn perfect for D-Day map

And did you ever seen zombies in real life or portal guns ? There is no logic behind your comment. I mean you took a game way too seriously. You are basically questioning reality on a video game with zombies LOL
