I was thinking about a scripted jumping function so my question is is this possible to script?

Like that you press space when you are facing up then you got teleported some bit father and the same for down left right but that you cant jump over walls.
So is this possible i ask this first before asking some script of it on the lua threat

this is not possible with space but only with the server action keys (F2,F3,F4 by default).

clients would have to change one of those to space to make it work.

Nice idea jaso, how about you jump upwards. Lua image for shadow and block all hits when you jump, might be interesting tactically because you should jump when someone shoots with awp, or has low ammo so he wastes his last bullets on you.

Zeroarcanus i think jump is possible like in GTA 2 and Subvein.I think obstacles will the only possibe type for jumping and maybe special type (i don't know is this is possible with LUA?).Maybe a jumping scripted server can have script that make server action 3 (F4) to change to space button anmd when the player exit the server it back the last control(space to F4).

there is in gta 1 and 2 you can jump and i looks like reall. JUst see gta 2 videos on www.yotube.com and you will get an imagination on how to do it

No Hare It will doesnt look like retardet but it will (if anyone do it) look like fantastic. Finally any fresh idea. But same its 2d Top Down Shooter game .

There is multiple ways to make this jump feature possible. From my perspective I think this would only be fully possible if DC could implement some sort of "GTA 2" type of jumping feature. Scripting a jump function would be possible but it would be looking extremely bad, since you can't make the player look like it's jumping over a obstacle, wall, or some other type of scripted collision object graphicly by using player anims unless these anims are already implemented in the game.

Well, here's a example; if the player wants to jump over a collision object you can press any of the server action keys (F2, F3, or F4) in order to be able to perform this jump and at the same time replace the player's anims so it looks like it's jumping. But yea, that's my way of thinking that this is actually possible. Hope anyone like the idea. But I doubt that this will be implemented into the game unless DC wants to create GTA 2 out of CS2D. But then again, this is CS2D it's supposed to resemble Counter-Strike and not other games.

when player presses space, use the "noclip" mod for a few frames and increase the size of the skin while it's jumping up, and decrease it when it's jumping down.
Pretty easy to implement.
