Well this poll is a simply a list of all the ideas for CS2D that have been posted. You have one vote per person people so chose wisely on which idea you think is best in terms of logic, gameplay, fun, & difficulty in development.

I don't think that it is a good idea to use the limited poll functionality of this forum for a "representative" poll because you are limited to one answer.
the results will be incomplete/imprecise if not even useless. Even so this is a much simpler representation of almost all the ideas out there better than having to read through 230 + posts on the suggestion thread.

this MUST be because if its not, silenced weapons go to trash indeed even in CS1.6 & source there arnt any directional indicators of damage from silenced weapons. Fiz User Offline
Yea I was gona include the vid to better clarify that idea looks like I forgot to You can link to my thread and mine to yours if you want. So far the top 5 things that people want to see in CS2D are as follows :
1) Re balance the weapons to be more like CS1.6
IE Making the UMP-45 have a faster rate of fire like CS1.6 & weigh less than a AK-47 for example.
2) No damage & direction indicators from silenced weapons
For the USP, TMP, & M4A1
3) Dead bodies for players, zombies, & NPCs & maybe gibs
For when players & NPCs exc are killed by high explosive / power weapons like the RPG, Rocket Launcher, Laser, & other explosives like C4, mines, & laser mines.
4) More lua functions & hooks exc seeing as may lua scriptwriters would like this.
5) Ability to "crouch" behind obstacles for cover. (I'm surprised people want this one but yea)
This may require extra legs sprites ( I'm happy to make them if the idea is considered in the future ) to indicate when a player is crouching, some coding, & no such a feature would not be cheap as all one needs to do is use explosives like grenades to get them. The players movement speed will be the same as walking silently like in the current version of CS2D.
As for me I have some great ideas on re balancing the CS2D weapons to be like CS1.6 without losing the weapons balance to each other
IE keep the new weapons from being cheap along with implementing the no damage & direction indicators to the silenced weapons. edited 5×, last 06.12.10 01:38:56 am

could be the sniper scope go beyond player screen but when scope make the player slower, otherwise everyone will want to be snipers! actually while zoomed in so far the sniper will be vulnerable to back stabs & what not since the really cant see around them while sniping that far. But yes a slightly slower speed like walking speed for example would make it more realistic & balanced. i play mostly awp myself and i have to say i don't like this idea. i think on most maps people would just camp and it'd be like really boring and noob. Snipers rifles zoom going beyond player screen
guys... this will NEVER EVER happen because it's absolutely unfair! forget this idea really quick! or do you like to be sniped away from nowhere without even having a chance to see the enemy?

I really like the suggestions but why would people want to crouch behind obstacles for "cover"? It WOULD be REALLY hard to know if a player is crouching or not (prone sprites would be hard for skinners) and as always.. this WILL be exploited by noobs (e.g. always crouching behind obstacles you can shoot through) That's why DC made the WALL PROPERTY! its better to make some skins like CSsource's skins.
rpg skin is not so good its better to edit it.

Ability to rotate tiles at 90* angles in editor - more place in tiles
Improved bot AI with doors teleports & map entites - look to VHE (Valve Hammer Editor) entites

Jump ability & also be able to jump on obsticals - like in GTA2

I think it's usp what about a gravity gun for cs2d? like in half life 2!
with items which you can select in the map editor, and put them into your map and which you can pick/throw then ingame?
