It's stupid how people always listen and believe what other people say on the internet and support them. I mean come on guys, do some researches before you trust someone. Here's some videos that can change your thoughts about KONY 2012:
Plan:
Make 30min video with fotage of poor African people.
Ask for money to stop random terorist.
Take 70% of the money so i can buy "myself" a new car.
???
PROFIT !!
It's quite possible that this video is doing more harm than good. Scientists have found (one example) that if you do something you consider a "good deed", you'll be less moral for the rest of a certain period of time. So if you buy green products, like a facebook page about stopping hunger in Africa and so on, you will be less nice subsequently.
What does this imply? Well, to me it's rather obvious that if you do something you think is moral (like buying one of these "Kony action kits"), but doesn't actually do any good, then this action will still lead to bad behaviour for a while. If you bought a Kony Kit, you'll probably be less willing to donate to more effective charities which actually save lives.
meanwhile George Bush, who illegally invaded Iraq and comitted war crimes and crimes against humanity,
is still free and secure.
and Israel is still bulldozing houses, killing innocent women and children, taking land on a daily basis and
terrorizing the Palestinian population.
and instead you want to hunt some jungle monkey?
Muesli brain washing victim #99999, stop crapping on Israel/USA, no one really needs to see the opinion of someone who simply parrots stupidity.
EDIT: And about the video, you can care all you like, but the only way you can stop this guy is if one of these abductees are actually close enough to the man to deliver a killshot to his skull. Finding this guy in the Ugandan rain forest will be like finding a piece of grass in a haystack, they all look the same. Also, there is no point in trying to make a government do this, don't donate money, go and search the jungle for yourself. You will soon be discouraged and walk away.
