The story takes place in year 1650, when Ferdinand III. sends courteous naval officer William Wolf in England, on account of important business. He gives him a ship and an assisten Klaus Werber. They get caught by storm on the way there, and so they decide to anchor on nearby island. What they don't realise is, that the island is a part of empire named Pathoras, where 20 years before a tragedy took place, when miners found an entrance to the Hell. Shortly after a 10 years long war occured against "Invaders from beneath". Citizens of Pathoras lost the war and the Vampire family by the name Darkan started to rule in Pathoras. William finds an old mine on the shore of the island, but when he enters the cave, the entrance caves in. He must find out, what happened to the country and help the people, that are still willing to fight...

I started to make this mod alone in editor, but I didn't have much time, so I invited my friend "DOOMer" and later ex-maker of Wolfenstein TC "Lišák" (Reynard), and so, Wolf Soft was born. The project has secret rooms (shown in video), Easte eggs (Tower of Dane, Remake of Curse of the night (slovakian 8-bit game)) and of course a HUGE ammount of soundtracks from Wolfenstein (3DO and PC editions), Elvira, Doom 1 and 2, Hexen, Alone in the Dark, Curse of Night,Corridor 7 and Wizardry 7. You can visit Daggorath too. The project even has a half-text part, where is enviroment described in text and you must choose the right choice (max. 4), how to continue further. the game has 27 maps (islands) of different sizes by now. The game contains secret rooms, where you can find useful items. Usually there is an object nearby, the wall is displaced... just hit them with whatever you have, they usually last 1-2 hits.

Currently only slovak language is avalaible, but we work on english language.

Just unzip it and run SOTP.....bat -Full-(full window) or Window (windowed mode)
This package contain all what SOTP need to run.

Don´t forget to rate this mod.

Important note: Please, do not walk across the walls on the first "big" island (Herran). Behind the walls is only unused surface of the map.

After 3 years I think it´s time to explain what happened to this mod and why it haven´t been released.

During the development I realized, that this engine is not suitable for this kind of game - you could climb the walls and escape from the map very easily, clunky/flat level design due to monster limitations and cases of accidentally destroying keys and important items. There were also some nasty bugs, which crashed the whole game and weird slowdown at some parts.

One of my friends wanted to make a totally new game and do something better, so I abandoned this mod and we started to make a horror game in unity 3D. There were some ideas about remaking this piece, but I refused. The Unity project flopped and as a bonus I lost the finished version of this mod (deleted, because I needed space for some unity assets ).

In 2014 my another friend (also one of the developer of this mod) persuaded me to make a mod for Doom 2 source port called Gzdoom. I still play Doom, so I eventually agreed. I found out the new features of modern Doom engine like multiple floors, better light effect, scripts are what I need to bring Shadow over the Pathoras from the dead to the light.
This year I found an unfinished beta copy of the game on my old portable hard drive (thanks god) and dug out old plans of the levels, list of items and some text. With this I started remaking the mod. Surprisingly a lot of things can be taken from the original- like weapons, items (food) and even some monsters like lizardman,piranha,archer and... sheep. Shops are also present.

So despite the fact, this version is cancelled the mod still lives and I hope I will finish it by the end of this year.

There is a small demo, trailer and occasionally a short article with screenshots.
Gzdoom can be downloaded on the official gzdoom site. You can google it easily.
