Alright, well I'm trying to host my own server, I made sure that LAN is off and my virus and windows firewalls, still not working so I think the only think I have left to try is port forwarding for my router.

I go into my router settings and go to the gaming section and click port forwarding and these are the options I have, if someone could please tell me what is what I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Service Name: I just put 'CS2D'

Global Port Range: 0 - 0 (I Don't know what to put)

Base Host Port 0 (I Don't know what to put)

Protocol TCP or UDP (I just put UDP which I assume is right.)

By the way, it seems everytime I check my ip on ipchicken.com my port changes so I don't know if this would create problems or not? Thanks if anyone can guide me through this!!!

1) The service name should be irrelevant in this situation, anything you put would be fine

2) Go to server.cfg and check under port, put that number in both text boxes (IE: If the port says 36963, put 36963-36963)

3) This isn't a common option, I assume that you just put 36963, if you have an instruction manual that came along with your router, please refer to it for further indication of what the base host port is.

4) UDP is good.

5) Do no use ipchicken or any web-based service to get your IP or your Port. The IP that you will get will be an absolute IP that has no meaning to you, since they are subjected to change. The port is also irrelevant since there is absolutely no way of detecting what port the browser is using to establish an internet connection (Port 80 is outgoing only)
