you need an usgn.de account to use the usgn. the unrealsoftware.de account does NOT work for the usgn of course (the registration page says that very clearly!)
other possible problems:
you did not activate the account you were to fast. it can take up to 5 minutes after activation before your account works in-game. wait and try again. typo 1
