What program do you use?

(Commercial) AutoDesk 3D Studio Max 2009 for designing.
(Commercial) Ultimate Unwrap 3D for converting to B3D.

Ethan, you call it a balisong. I know it much better (and I'm sure many others do as well) as a butterfly knife.

Yeah, I can do them pretty quick. Gimmie a couple of hours, I got some things to do first.

Ouch, so, these models cost a good deal to make...

No, the software I used to make them costs a lot. There is a lot of free software out there that can do all the stuff I can do with my software, just in a different way.

Once you have the tools, be it free or commercial, the models themselves only take time and skill with the software to make them.

Both the Butterfly Knife and CartWheel have been completed and are the last items on the first post.

Glad you like them. I hope other people will do too.

Edit: Changed the Butterfly Knife package to include a half-closed and a fully closed model.

hey after i asked it from vectar it seems you make models transparent by alpha commands

Yeah, I know. This is because the game doesn't handle transparency in materials. This is explained with a fine example in my glass bottle model. If you open the .max file, you will notice I use a completely different material.

before anyone asks, I'm not making any units

...

EDIT: Can make some models for me? Modern house(enterable), a car, anything that can go in modern small town.
EDIT2: Also, I'll appreciate a plank model.

This is something you have to script. I can make you a house with an interior, with an open door and a closed one, but you'd have to do the switch in script. And that's the basic version. With that version, you couldn't actually use the house for anything but cover, but if you had it with objects inside, you could script each object individually, but that's much more complex.

If you google Free 3DS car models you get an amazing amount of hits. Stranded II's native model format is B3D but it can to some extent handle 3DS (tried and tested) and X files (so I hear).

Yeah, gimmie an hour to get things sorted.

Edit: Well, it was easier than I thought. Done, The plank is the last item on the first post.

If you mean my models, well nearly all of them come with the 3ds file, but I can convert the chair or grandhall if that's what you mean. If you mean some models that you have, then Yes, I could but that would have to depend on the model's owners. If they're not yours, I can't be modifying them for you without them giving me their express permission.

No... I'm talking about models I made, such as the table that I uploaded to the files and the planting tray... they are both 3ds... but I think b3ds are better run by stranded...

That's what I meant. House with interior(like hut from original SII), if it will be with closed and open doors it will be great. Furniture will be other objects.

Just it should be a large house,so it has place for furniture...

If requests are still acceptable, I am in need/want of a wood-burning stove. I am not able to model, nor am I very good at imaging in general but I would love to be able to add a wood burning stove as an alternative cooking source once I can figure the proper scripting for my purposes on one of my versions of the game .

You have to think how this will work. If you have a house model as a solid model with an interior, then it's gonna be very hard to build anything inside of it. The alternative is quite complicated. You could have to have a house 'shell' model and on build, create the door object where the door should be and have a script on that to rotate 90 degrees on use. The added advantage to this is that you can create other objects in the house on build that do other things, like you could create a stove and a storage on build inside the house that would be usable.

So there are two distinct ways of doing this each with a different set of models required. I won't start modelling until you are sure of which type you want; Just a basic cover object or a house with usable furniture.

I did create an iron furnace a while ago which I still have the model for, however, I have a problem (in the scripting) in that once I give it fire states... It burns to the ground. If you want it, I'll post it tomorrow. Today, I'm far too tired.
