Yes, if you read back in the thread, you will see that I use 3D Studio Max 2009 to create the models and save as .max, then export to .3ds so I can use Ultimate Unwrap 3D to convert it to b3d.

If you don't mind could you make me an arrow with a tooth/fang type thing at the tip (e.g. as the arrowhead)? Many thanks in advance

Rewrote the first post due to the change in website design and added a poll. Tell me what models you liked and I'll try to keep the trend going.

I was just reading through the old posts of this thread and I saw a request from Ethan for a few things.

Sorry about the poll change again, it's just, I've made 22 models now and there isn't enough space to give each one a vote, so I've changed it to a question about future productions.

Also, as a request from Grouch...

I chose those with high textures low poly counts... for a very good reason...

A model which has many verticals, and sides and faces and etc, will lag stranded 2 down more, then a model that has very few verticals etc, but a very good texture.

For example, I made a model these days that was extremely high quality, might even be called the next generation fountain... but... it was so high quality, and with so many sides and points and lines and everything else, that stranded 2 and all other programs who ran it, complained that it was too big... I had to restart stranded 2 via the button infront of your computer...

So, personally, I prefer high textures, but low models...

I have an odd, but probably very simple request The modeling programs I've been checking so far confuse me terribly.

I've been working on my game more and finding some uses for bones. The existing bone is fine and already in use, but I would also like a rib bone that I can then set as a loot from large animals (ribs could be fashioned into fish hooks which I want to require for making a fishing rod, and could also be an alternative item for making a knife)

Please, and thank you in advance if you can/will make it for me

Well, if you mean rib bones from large animals, that seems quite a large bone to use as a fish hook, but I could make you a rib cage if that's what you want.

A single rib would be great. I don't want to over load the game with redundant items too badly and if I had a rib cage I would still want a single rib bone (then rib cage could be separated for several ribs) I am trying to keep things somewhat balanced and doing that would be making it remarkably easy.

I have a couple of uses in mind for the rib bone. Alternative material for knife (and other tools likely), could also be a burning fuel, splint, My fishing rod is breakable so one could expect to have to rebuild it periodically. The rib bones would produce ten fish hooks I plan.

But... I thought I had saved an old model a previous friend made for me of the fishing hook (wrong format but should have been convertible) and I am not finding it on my external hard drive so it must have been lost when my old PC died a horrible death

So... could you also model a simple small fish hook for me?

So you want a model of a single rib bone and a model of a fishing hook made from that bone?

On another note, Lion_Hearted reminded me of some models I'd made a while ago that were low poly and pretty obvious.

I thought bread loaves should be able to be sliced down into slices and then make a meat, fish or egg sandwich, so I made them!

Yes, please. Thank you

Also, I love the bread items. I had been considering adding things like those to my game but I didn't want to bother people (you) about those when so much food is already available

Ok, here you are. I'm really impressed with the Rib Bone. I took time and effort to get a correct curvature as well as giving it "marrow" caps.

NOTE: I scaled these items to be smaller, but they still might not be an exact fit for S2. Be very careful with the fish hook. You don't want to scale it too small or you won't be able to find it when you drop it!

Request:Model of a samurai sword, like the normal sword, just the blade would be curved down.

I love swords so if I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do this with care and detail. (I already have ideas how to keep it low poly + high detail)

Do you want it to have a sheathe?

Yep. They are certainly known as a katana, with some forms more commonly known as the nihon-to (translates to "Japanese sword"... No joke...)

I love these swords as many other people do. Hell, I own one or two, so getting the texture isn't going to be a problem at all.

However, I have to ask the people that want this model...

Being that you are stranded, finding a perfectly forged katana might seem unrealistic, so should I make something more fitting to the atmosphere?

I could do an improvised katana with a wood handle, vine bind for the hand grip, no guard and no sheathe, but that loses all the glamour.
The alternative is that I do what I was planning, a low poly, high detailed texture of a real katana (hexagonal cylinder of handle, square plate for guard, more work on blade) made from textures taken from the real article. I could do this with or without sheathe as the sheathe would be one cylindrical object.

And on a final note, does anyone know if the B3D format supports bump mapping, because if it does, it will directly affect what happens to this model and I got a bunch of new items I wanna create if it is possible.
