Slots and colors are actually unrelated. The host can change the colors of everyone by clicking the color field. Clients can't do that, that's right. Even multiple different teams can have the same color. They form an alliance and play together in that case.

Selectable slots? Why? It totally doesn't matter in which slot you are. It's pointless to be able to select one. It changes nothing.

Nothing in a mechanical way, but visual - color. I heard about 5 times that user want change color, or he need to reconnect to be a yellow when some one leaves.

You can just click on the color.

The team colour changes. The person's colour does not. That is what they want changed.

the players always have the selected team color.

Edit: Oh I get it, talking about the player not about the players on the field. I really don't want to make that one changeable as well to be honest.

It just seems weird sometimes to be talking with blue and playing with red and then someone else is talking with red and playing with blue.

It's because the Carnage Contest team management is incredibly awesome and flexible allowing super weird team combinations and stuff. Just don't touch the colors at all to avoid this

What I need is the ability to convert shape maps to bitmap in the editor. That'd help me sometimes, even though I don't make that many maps.
Also, the ability to have three backrounds on one level would be nice- one doesn't move, one moves with half the speed, and one at full speed.
That could be used to create some sort of 3D-effect.

Maybe something customizable like everyone has their own spray on CS2D give something similar to CC.

Also create the portal I (think I) mentioned some time ago. Waiting for people is boring, but when you have a little chat then you can get together and get a server up and people to join instantly!

Anyway, I had a blast today, loads of matches and quite a decent amount of players. Keep it up.

Some levels inside of the earth with magma, earthquakes and falling rocks from upside would be cool
