22 replies Not rules are the solution. If you really want to change something, you must speak with every mapmaker (newbie or pro) and make them understand this fact.
I don't keep everything I download from other servers. Just go into Options Net Show downloaded files Delete (selected file or all) .
Or set different icons from the original folder for every folder you already have in the CS2D archive, then play on servers and download stuff and after this check your gfx, sfx folders and notice new ones which can be deleted.
And for mappers : Recommended to create one folder with your name or map's name and put all the stuff there even if you don't use some of the files from the specific folder. Everyone on RP servers (99%) does that. You can't make a RULE for it because, as they say, 'Rules are made to be broken'. Someone will eventually do that even if you prohibit it with all possible prohibitions.
P.S. And please, I beg you, LAPTOP, not notebook. You can make a signature in the properties of standard resource - and then when you create a map to do checks by editor on these signatures and the correct path to the standard resource
