It would be a mess in the file archive, files with stars, files without, then how the top 15 files would decide which one is better? Simply no...

Dunno how to explain, for example:
I have a file, 1 vote as 3 stars. Now i have 1 like. If i had also 2 stars rating, there would be no likes.
Or something like that.
Imo that would fix a little bit ratings who had 1, or 2 stars. Even with out adding "Dislike" option.

it's no fucked up. they are now sorted by the number of likes. there are no ratings anymore. I'll change the title of it to make clarify this.

I mean, dont change them into nothing, i mean if they were rating 1 or 2, then discard one "Like".

No, it's an obvious text people can use to see who likes and dislikes the file. Without it effecting the "like" rating.

It isn't stupid, as I said above at the "spam" quote. It shows what people think without it effecting the rating so with or without this, still no revenge rating thread.

@user Nem: subtracting non-likes from likes would destroy the whole sense of the system. the idea is that there is no way to make the "rating" of a file worse. you can only make it better.
otherwise the whole change would be quite pointless and people would continue to complain about people who make the ratings of their files worse.

@user Yates: it IS spam AND flame (if used without proper criticism attached!). it IS stupid asshole stuff because it provokes and leads to problems. there is absolutely no doubt in that. so stop discussing. it's simply bad.
rules violated by it (if the image is not used in combination with proper and fair criticism):
Rules §2.1 - No needless and/or doubled posts (spam)
Rules §3.1 - No posts which offend/provoke/insult (flame)
Rules §5.1 - Show good behavior and simply don't be a stupid asshole
Rules §5.3 - No memes, ASCII art or comparable fun pictures

do you now understand why it sucks?
edit: of course it's better with criticism but it's still provoking simply because it's red and catches so much attention. it's really not clever to use it.

@user DannyDeth: this guy is obviously not able to select the proper rating. saying that he dislikes it and giving "awesome" as rating? that comment was never okay. not with the old system and not with the new system. the change doesn't fix ratings which never made sense
