It's a project against bullying of young people because of them being gay/lesbian/trans/bi. It's not about supporting that lifestyle, it's just against discrimination.

Just so this thread wouldn't get trashed, don't flame here or do stupid shit. Just say your thoughts and don't provoke others.

I support their cause, although I am straight. I think that we all should be respected equally (except some people, you know who I am talking about) and that everyone deserves to be happy.

Wrong. There should be no distinction - being bullied for liking someone is no different from being bullied because you have some money in pocket. Making emphasis on "gay" only aids in dividing people into "us" and "them", essentially setting up pretext for even more of that bullying.

Religion is generally one thing that gets on my nerves sometimes, especially with people such as the Westboro Baptist Church who are complete dicks and have no feelings for this world.

Of course, I don't hate anybody who is religious though (just the ones who take it wrongly and start being dicks with it) I have enough friends who are Muslims, Catholics or Christians. The same way as they don't care that I'm an athiest who has no interest for religion.

People just don't accept that others are different. And it's not really much of a wonder that you end up with shit like this.

That "us" and "them" (gays) was already in most peoples' heads.
They don't insist that bullying is natural, they say it happens to all of us, but it shouldn't make us kill ourselves.

Look, my point is this - making this a "gay" issue only serves to drive the wedge further between "us" and "them", enforces this artificial division that should not be.

The best thing you can do is to avoid that kind of site like it`s infected with AIDS and instead focus on living a life. And if someone wants to make an issue about your choices? Posit them as outcasts and oddballs. Make THEM be the weird people with weird notions. Use public against them.

The only reason why bullying happens is because people believe they are in the right to do so. Don`t let them. Play as dirty as you have to, but pit THEM against the society, if you want any kind of good solution.
