What exactly are you referring to? 3D/shadow order stuff or something else?

Yes, I meant 3D/shadow rendering. I my case, I used 3D Cube.

@user Gaios: I already said I'm not going to focus on 3D rendering stuff. It's just too expensive. It pretty much feels like making your own 3D rendering engine, therefore using tools from the 90s. I would even prefer disabling it for a while, but as it doesn't give any advantage, it could stay.

When using scoped weapons there's a thin line on the right that doesn't get blacked out. I'm using 1920x1080 @ linux.

@user slimK: Which OS (and which version of that OS) are you using? You should be able to run it by simply clicking the play button in Steam.

Same happens when flashed.

old Controls don't allow to me use certain keys

For the first time ever I'm getting an annoying bug with the Options.
I'm trying to change the controls and it's not letting me put certain keys in certain places.

For example, I want to use 'z' or 't' for the chat and when I press to change the key the game doesn't seem to recognise the keys whilst it does others. I tried to unbind things which didn't use these two keys and they still didn't work.
Now my controls are all messed up, lel (I got used playing differently than the defaults ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

I checked and my keyboard is functioning properly, so properly configured (using the correct Windows language layout for it) and the keys work elsewhere, even changing my nickname on CS2D. So I suspect this bug only happens in the Controls section and it's annoying.

If it matters, I'm using Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

--- Edit ---
I get the same exact thing with a clean install of the standalone client available at http://www.unrealsoftware.de/get.php?get=cs2d_1005_setup.exe

I found out a measly fix for this annoyance, which consists of spamming the key I want many times, up to 20-30 seconds. It's like somehow the game is lagging to get a response from my keyboard, which is weird because the keyboard is functioning perfectly and I'm running an i-7490 CPU so the PC isn't an issue.
Weird...

Can you please pack the the required libraries for Linux with the game?
I cant find them in my repo..

I get an segmentation fault when I try to start the game directly (without the libs). It wont start when I run the game through steam ether.
Using Linux Fedora 26 64 bit

@user medeiros: You can edit the config file in sys/controls.cfg manually if nothing else helps (stop the game first). Weird issue though

@user 0TT0: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to to this for legal reasons (and I actually don't know HOW to do it either)
I made a list of libs which you can find on the Steam store page in the Linux sys requirement

Not sure if you saw it or if it helps at all or if these are the libs you were talking about:
1
32-Bit Linux distribution recommended, otherwise some libs probably need to be installed: apt-get install libgtk2.0-0:i386 libidn11:i386 libglu1-mesa:i386 libpangox-1.0-0:i386 libpangoxft-1.0-0:i386

Regarding scope/flash: Thanks, this is obviously a bug which needs to be fixed. Probably floating point imprecision when scaling things.

Windows 10 home edition x64

I mean I want to use the launch options but I can't use in shortcut if I want to play with steam.
About the steam login bug, is kinda weird the steam tell I'm playing the game but doesn't show the login (with the usgn at the same time).

@user slimK: Ooohh.. okay. I wasn't sure if they work but apparently Steam login doesn't work when the game is launched the "normal" way.

Steam allows you to specify commandline args.
• Rightclick the game
• Properties (or something, don't know what it is in English)
• Under the general (?) tab there should be a "start options" button

When you enter e.g.
-fullscreen
there the game runs in fullscreen. More commandline args in Readme.txt in the CS2D folder. You can also set the resolution etc.
List of commandline args >

Steam and U.S.G.N. login work in parallel as well.

Bug/Problem: If you select to go to the steam profile it opens in a browser instead of the steam overlay.

Expected behaviour/suggestion: If it's not considered a bug it should be atleast changed, because the steam overlay is in my opinion the better option. Not sure though, if the reason is to have only one client, no matter if it's steam or the regular one.

Bug/Problem: If you haven't changed your name in the options menu, and you join a server, you change your name everytime you enter the options menu (atleast if it is allowed by the server) from "random name" to Player X.

Expected Behaviour/suggestion: Even if you change your name by using the console ingame, it should also write this name into your config file, or atleast don't change it when you enter the options menu.

@user slimK: Oh, that's weird. Did you login with multiple different Steam accounts on your system? This might cause issues.

@user Reaper: The profile page feature is also available in the non steam version that's why it is like this (also we can't easily make it work with the overlay)

That setting issue with the name is actually a problem with many options but it should be possible to solve it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yup so how I can fix this problem? I want to use cs2d in my main acc.

EDIT: Wtf I just logout and login in the same acc and now the problem is fixed .

While I shift-walk I can't switch to the knife (most likely the whole weapon slot 3, but haven't checked other gamemodes). As soon as I am pressing 3, my player stops moving and keeps his current weapon. A switch to the knife without holding shift works. A switch to a different weapon slot (e.g. 2) works aswell while shift-walking.

//EDIT: Addional info: switchign with Q is fine. Pressing 3 eventhough you have already the knife equipped stops me aswell. So it looks like the bug is def caused when the keys shift and 3 are pressed/hold at the same time.

I repeat the issue from above but without shift walking. It's a little game breaking. When I used conkey as button for the console, the console keeps opening instead of switching to my knife.

@user DanelSonic123: Unfortunately this is a common problem. Of course there is no virus infection in the dedicated server. I assume it's detected as virus because it uses UDP sockets for network communication, writes files (logs) etc. These are suspicious things because malware would contain similar operations.

There is nothing I could fix about it because it's not a bug. At least not a bug in my software. Maybe a "bug" in Avast
I can only tell you that your virus scanner is wrong about it and that the file is safe and has no virus.

@user slimK: Glad to hear that. The current Steam login approach in CS2D is a bit "dirty" and multiple accounts can apparently lead to issues (but could also be a timeout/network issue).

Regarding the key issues: I know that user SQ did some adjustments especially for the console key. Maybe he has an idea why there are problems or how to solve it. Might also be related to user medeiros key assignment problem somehow.
