Stranded III Dev. Blog - CommentsMaybe you put volcanoes?
Because volcanoes are awesome on surviving games.
I'm very it will support bump mapping as well, since you can get a lot better graphics with that. So many tools exist for working with Ogre that there's already a lot of potential for modders.
Really looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
VaiN: I actually switched to Unity3D because it will speed up development soooo much. I accidentally overwrote the previous dev blog entry which was about that topic. I will restore this blog entry later. Sorry.
wow strandedIII like the stranded 2
DC: I think You say "I don't to be use game makers", but something changed
Assassin moder: I'm still not using game makers because Unity3D is not a game maker. It's a nice cross-platform engine with cool development environment. You don't come really far without scripting/programming. Sure, there are many ready scripts you can use but they don't do exactly what you want them to do in most cases. What I'm doing is completely ignoring the Unity3D editor and doing EVERYTHING in code. So I'm using Unity3D like a game engine. I've written over 2,500 lines of code already.

If you use unity only for engine, than why don't you use UDK, it is an engine only with no proper IDE.
DC: you need to think ?
Jela331: DC will make a trailer once he is ready as he has done so for all his games. The only reason he is asking people to do a new one for CS2D is because he is too busy with Stranded.

for god's sake read the damn FAQ. It is here for a reason.

Hmmm... Unity3D has a function for mobile apps right? So is S3 be planing for android or other phone device or @user DC: you need to think ?
I think that stranded wouldn't be ported on mobile devices, because it's a lot of limits related with mobile platform
