Get your own free account here http://db.tt/2UNQ9kl * and support Unreal Software. You get 2 GB for free and you can get additional free space by inviting friends. It's great for backups as well (you can get a client which automatically synchronizes your dropbox folder).
I also use Uploaded for download mirrors (uploading is free but downloading fast costs money).

*) Yes, those are ref links and they are actually forbidden here but hey I'm the owner of this website and I think I'm allowed to post ref links anyway.
otherwise i use media fire for small stuff and random junk
and anonfiles for dangerous crap
and i rarely upload heavy files
@ DC: you're a dictator
So the best second one is mediafire where you can download your files without annoying ads also I use it to save my own important files there before managing.
I like it.
I sail the sea's and drop my treasures on uninhabited islands for people to pickup when they sail by. It's great because a shitload of other pirates do so as well, it's basically win-win.
Ahoy!
It's nice to hand all your files to FBI and other third parties, yahoo! I just love my personal information not being private! Thank you guys - it's awesome! Maybe I should start using Facebook & Foursquare and other shit networks that spy on you. Hey, Android is nice too.
Keep your damn files at HDD, so nobody else can access them. It's really damn cheap, but your files are yours, not property of Dropbox, Microsoft and other third parties. Never use these services if you want your information to be yours. File server @ home is the best option you have, even with some Tor or I2P routing for extra privacy. I keep most of my file servers isolated though.
Never mind though, I forgot that you people easily give out any private information in the Internet.

Pah, as if they didn't have access on that. Keep your damn files at HDD, so nobody else can access them.
Pah, they prefer to store it at SkyDrive, just because Microsoft kindly asks them to do so. Though I've already understood that my post won't make a single sense here, hence most of users here are okay with that. You know, ohaz, I'm worrying about my privacy. Generally, everywhere. They don't. Maybe you don't too. If you got nothing to hide you got nothing to fear, right? Well, I don't want anyone to acknowledge the fact that I got nothing to hide. It's hard to be completely anonymous in the Internet, sometimes almost impossible to use some of the services, but I don't understand people who boldly upload everything/fill their Facebook profile (meh they have one)/etc.

That's a great solution when I want other people to actually download my stuff! Thank you!
Of course you shouldn't upload private files there (you can still do without problems when you encrypt them properly) but this thread is not about such files. It's primarily about 1-click upload pages and you don't upload private files there anyway (well... at least I hope that nobody does so) but only stuff you want to share. I only said Dropbox because it also allows you to make files available to others and to share a public link.
So ranting about privacy stuff really doesn't belong into this thread in my opinion.

Well it's advertising... but I'll better shut up.
