First of all- good luck to you and your family... I dont know you- but there are those that do...
second- its not the biggest storm... Weather has only started to be recorded since about... 100-200 years... Not sure...
third- hide under durable furnature (like a strong table) and hide in your most durable house room (seems to usually be the bathroom.
fourth- hello from Australia! I live in a hot dry country... But i am thankful im not in earthquakes, (bad) storms, and because of my houses position... Floods. -I do wish it'd rain more though... I LOVE long lived rain... A week or two of light-to-heavy rain is great... I live in Queensland also.
ultimately- stay calm, be smart, and be careful.
I hope to hear from you after the storm. fight for youre land,go out and strugle with it
try the ol' good shotgun,if he doesnt want to talk Sounds like a terrible storm though. Class 5 storms are usually super dangerous... We had a storm up to class 3 near Sweden's coasts as seen on the news and I thought was quite shocking. Class 5 storms are nothing to mess with though. That's some serious winds for just a rainy day out for water surfing. 20 typhoons during a whole year according some some source pass through the area you live it seems. It'd appear quite horrible to live there due to these circumstances. Unless you're not living there for the enjoyment of fresh winds of course. Im back since last night 3:50 AM there is a big ship that helping people to evacuate my country use the war ship to evacuate people from Visayas Thanks to God, Im still alive since im on a vacation where the eye of the storm is.
My whole family is safe.
Edit:
Guys if you dont know there is tsunami right now on my country and the tsunami is biggest than tsunami in japan the water floods over a four story building. 71 COMMUNITY BANNED Offline
damn that is hard..
good luck friend Good luck out there... I had no idea that just north of Australia is such a storm magnet... Yet we get nothing here... Man I suggest you should live in Mindanao at preferably at Zamboanga Del Norte, 'cause there's only few natural disasters. sometimes storms here are deflected by high mountains and earthquakes don't usually occur here. Well the only problem is the rebels, but they don't usually start fight. maybe sometime but, it's just a suggestion though. 1) post in facebook "a fucking storm!!"
2) run for your life
3) RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN AGAIN!!!
4) i survive and now it's amiming to my country, Viet Nam. but happily, is chnage its moving to the north and go along the beach and a small area. maybe it will go to China Devil-Thanh, if the storm cross to your country it's not so strong anymore. Admin/mod comment

useigor but it's not. i went to the north of Viet Nam and then China then disapear. but anyway it's poor for the Philipino. :(. i saw all on TV US Marine Corps soldiers forces board an aid aircraft leaving a US base on Okinawa in southern Japan for the Philippines. storm = 10.000 of deads I watched the Australian News last night, pitty those 10,000 people died because of such a disaster....
RIP to all of those... im just glad the storm didnt run south... else id be screwed. Although I feel a bit sad that people die, but such things actually help a little. People get tons of stuff to do which raises their economy level and less people are jobless.
I think of nature's disasters as a way for the world to say "you're not supposed to live here" but again, if it would be possible to prepare for such things, people wouldn't die.
