How to promote CS2D
Hajt,
lennon: I actually was thinking in making a unofficial black list containing the IP(s) (and proxies) of those hackers/cheaters. However, I don't have credit to buy a server to host that list and I don't know anyone would at least host it for long enough to make it worth it.
Yates: You're interested? Just take a look from the old cs2d era, no mods and only standard servers just full of people. Now with this new versions just some 12 year kids in minecraft servers and anothers are just empty.
My idea is starting to make a unrealsoftware tournament (just like some guys did to cc) and try to recorver new and old people.
Also pcs project is trying to keep cs2d competitive alive and without having help from dc (competitive updates and much more).
anyone here?
slimK has writtenNot sure what to say but the problem is kinda obvious: new people who want join cs2d thinks to play real counter strike 2d (standard mods), when they see the servers full of mods such as minecraft and happytown for example most of them just quit because is so boring and stupid.
It's the other way round mate. People that join CS2D find these mods and keep playing. It's the 12 years old keeping it alive, not killing it.

You must be going back more than 5 years. Because it's been mods and less standard stuff for ages.
Now I'm not the one who takes a liking into failed "minecraft" modifications. Instead I try to make people keep the fast-paced shooting feel it is, but combine it with other things such as abilities, ranking, a little building, controllable turrets etc.

The sad truth.

Well is true but they are "destroying" what cs2d used to be.
slimK: They don't even play it. How can you destroy something you never touch? It makes no sense. Standard CS2D isn't as interesting as it used to be.Combine standard with mods which give rewards which people can show off on (possibly) PCS forum. I'm willing to bet the player count will increase slightly which will lead to their other friends playing with them.
lennon: And I don't agree with you.
