This is his Steam account that I posted in the link. Although he doesn't play quite often and he sometimes just visit his account.
P.S: And yea, he obviously played CS 1.6, you can check in DC's games list.
Yes, I played Half-Life 1 and 2 with all (or maybe just most, not sure) official and some fan made addons/mods. I also played Black Mesa (the free version). Half-Life 1 actually was my first FPS and I think the Half-Life series is very good and clearly counts to the best FPS games. Half-Life 1 is outstanding because of the level design. They are making most out of the limited resources and limited level sizes. You see where you have to go but you first have to solve puzzles to get there. Half-Life 2 is innovative because of the physics stuff and crazy weapons.
There is one thing I HATE about these games though: The level loading. It really killed a lot of the immersion and took much too long (at least on machines which where more or less modern when the games came out).
I'm not really "waiting" for Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 but I would definitely play it.
