Off Topic Paid for Blender software? Paid for Blender software?
8 replies I was looking through some of my old belongings when I found a CD I purchased from ebay. I didn't remember anything about it so I looked at the files on it. It had the setup file for the Blender modeling software. I can't exactly remember if Blender had a price tag back then. Enough back-story. I am coming to the Unreal Software community with a question:
If someone sold me modeling software without mentioning the name, and it turned out to be Blender, did I get ripped off? Basically no. Blender is released under the GPL License, and that License allows everybody to sell the product. The other person did nothing illegal or forbidden by the license, so it's just your fault. Btw, this GPL let's you to pretend Bleder being your created product, though nobody will believe you. You can sell and share copies with everyone you want. @ SlyCooperReloadCoded: Yes, you've been ripped off in a legal way. Btw, how much is the price of that? @Procrastinator: Although I don't remember the exact amount, it might have been around $5.00 USD. Just forget it. It's 5 dollars. Bigger than your paycheck at least. @Procrastinator
The rip-off happened a few years ago. I just wanted to remember what happened. 71 COMMUNITY BANNED Offline
