I was looking through some of my old belongings when I found a CD I purchased from ebay. I didn't remember anything about it so I looked at the files on it. It had the setup file for the Blender modeling software. I can't exactly remember if Blender had a price tag back then. Enough back-story. I am coming to the Unreal Software community with a question:

If someone sold me modeling software without mentioning the name, and it turned out to be Blender, did I get ripped off?

Basically no. Blender is released under the GPL License, and that License allows everybody to sell the product. The other person did nothing illegal or forbidden by the license, so it's just your fault.
