@user SQ: Wouldn't the voice chat system cause problems? I may be wrong though but the current layer network of CS2D isn't designed to handle the voice traffic properly. Or did you completely re-write the network stack from scratch?

Well, it might cause a problems for really bad connection users. However, I've tested it, it seems to work fine.

The feature is disabled by default and now in experimental stage, of course it will be improved in the future.

Also yes, there will be mute options.

Disclaimer: The voice chat was NOT my idea and I'm still not a fan of it and I told user SQ that I'm quite sure that it will mess up things (what user GeoB99 assumed is correct, CS2D's network layer is not designed for that stuff)... I actually don't even know why he put time and effort into something like this...

The fact that voice chat will be disabled by default is very important. I insisted on that. I hope that most public servers will keep it disabled...

I guess an additional CLIENT setting "mute everyone by default" (or better: disable voice chat completely) would make a lot of sense just to make sure that you never have to hear any annoying kid shouting around.

One question about that voice chat and chat in general:
So if one mutes other person, will one still be able to read chat messages of muted person or it would be just voice mute...?

Bcuz for example, in sven coop (steam) game, if you mute some person you cant read his chat messages aswell as voice...

Yes, I thought of this, we might add muting option which mutes chat and voice at the same time.

There is lua for that, but personally - it would be great to shut up some kids who talking bullshit if there is no such lua on server.

Btw, if a voice is disabled on server, will it be able to ignore other' chat(text)?

Yes, basically mute option is supposed to work for the text and voice messages.

By default, voice chat will be disabled in server.
But when joining server no one will be muted, however you can mute everyone by just pressing one button.

Well, I already implemented it, works fine and doesn't look like will be abused a lot. At the moment it has half second delay.

@user SQ: Not bad, looking forward to it.
Will people be able to use voice changers/voice screamers whatever with the voice chat?
Those are always annoying, and those peeps that play their music through voice chat as well, lol

How's it going? Would be nice if you could specifict the date of release, in this way server owners could immediately update the servers.

Its just pathetic... you are talking about useless addition which is voicechat (and many others probably) when most of the players dont care about it. 2 months ago we have received great news about cs2d joining steam what revived and bringed many players but if you are going to spend months talking and making some unnecessary additions game will be frozen again... I just want to remind you guys that this game was very popular when competetive scene was active - it was full of players playing on many servers. Useless contruction/zombie modes are just funny for some random kids who are sitting on school break in library.

My goal writing it is just to wake you up and open your eyes that when this game will be on steam it will brings big group of new players and revive many others, but please hurry up...
Imo you can make some "standard" version for steam and then making some updates to it, we dont need csgo options right from the start like matchmaking and many other cool options which takes a lot of time.

Fixed that for you (including the spelling mistake).
