I downloaded the Stranded 2 enhanced lite titanium, and it didn't work. What am I dong wrong? I saw it was apparently a mod and looked like the old files, so I just unzipped it into a new mod file named standard titanium. To try to play it, I just renamed it to teh standard "Stranded II" folder name and it didn't recognize it. what other way is there to do it. it just gave me an error message 162 or something like that.

I also don't know what the diff is between enhanced lite s2.5 and titanium.

@ Greengo: S2.5 and titanium are two different versions of modified source code. The reason the mod don't work for you is simple - this mods are broken and pointless, cheers, play default versions of S2.5 or Titanium

Greengo: Just just extract it into its OWN folder, DON'T rename anything, and skip all the extra steps you were doing for no reason.

can anyone tell me where the text files are for the character menu and rucksack? In this version it's all in dutch, but i can use google translate to change it if I could find the files. I found the skills lists and changed them, but in the two menus i mention, they still are in dutch.

why didnt you download the english version?

I used the list on this thread. it didn't make any such distinction. you mean there IS an english version? where is it? why wasn't it listed? it's partially in english.

I haven't quite translated the entire game, but I thought I translated most of the units and objects in the new version. It is supposed to be in English, but due to the fact that I got the stuff from other mods that were in other languages, I had some problems. However, I could'v sworn I had translated the stuff. Just try the regular Stranded II Enhanced + and see if that works for you. If it still isn't translated, please tell me what I need to translate. Cheers

Also, the problems people are having are confusing me, because I have experienced none of the problems people have been having.

Mostly I made this mod so that the community could get more out of the hard work of modders that have long since left the community, because their work deserves appreciation.

This mod is not my mod, but the work of the community, and should be treated as such.

The problem is, it is more difficult to explain it that way, so I just say 'my mod' because it is easier to explain.

Also, the extra stuff added to my mod is not pointless. In fact, I am using it right now to make several maps. One in particular I am especially excited about.

I dl'd the enhanced 2.5 that you suggested first. i really don't want to go back and start completely over. nowhere does it mention what language it is in. I assumed it was all english because this is the english forum? am I mistaken in that? anyway, it is mostly better graphics, which is nice, and hands, which are kinda cute but add nothing really to the game, especially since they don't actually look like they re doing the tasks, but whatever.

my question remains: where can i find the files for the character menus and such that I asked for earlier (if I am on the right thread)? I really don't mind editing them. i just need to know where they are. somehow I am missing them. maybe they are in a file that has a lot of programming in it and the text I am looking for is just a comment in there somewhere, and I haven't painstakingly scrolled through those files to see. i suppose i can do that.
your "mod' seems to be as you state, something that mostly allows modders to do it easier. I would have liked seeing useless objects have some purpose, and most tasks be more specific, like trees give you branches till totally chopped down. other types of trees might give only vines or another bark, so we could "mine" for specifics. I would also like to see the "health" of a tree to see how far I can mine it without killing it. being able to build more stuff would go along way too. once you plant berries, you basically don't need to do anything but eat. being able to manipulate the ground wold be super. I'd love to make an underground base or just tunnels. but I digress.

You made sure everything works? I downloaded it once and had missing something. Well organized for moders? Moders know every path of the original SII so it's pointless for me.. I would stick to the original one to avoid any futher problems. Translations? What translations?

It is easier to group textures and models together that way.

Also, I just like more organization when I mod. It gives it a better feel.

I assume you're talking about my Arctic Adventure map, or my Escape and Explore map (or both). Honestly, I agree. I made those maps a while ago, and they could use a bit of improvement (I didn't actually finish either map entirely yet. If I do decide to finish them I will keep your feedback in mind).
