What's the point of this thread? Do you want to declare the death of CS2D? We have exactly the same topic every few weeks/months. For years already. It doesn't help. If you like the game play and support it. If you don't like it anymore just stop playing. Simple thing
Also a small correction of what you summarized: I personally never tried to make a "competitive" mode on my own. I never played competitive in Counter-Strike. This is why I don't even know what such a mode would look like and that's also why I would not be able to implement such a mode in a good way.
SQ worked on a competitive mode alone(?). As far as I know he reached out to the community for some support but didn't get that support which demotivated him so much that he dropped the competitive mode.
BUT both of these facts are not relevant because the ACTUAL DIFFICULTY for all that competitive stuff is not the implementation. The real problem is to keep it running. You need servers and you need to observe and moderate them 24/7 because otherwise cheaters and script kiddies will instantly ruin that vague dream of a "competitive mode". This is a thing which is simply not realistic (for an entirely free hobby project game without paid staff like CS2D) and therefore most certainly won't ever happen.
So even with a working competitive mode implementation we still wouldn't have a working competitive mode.
Oh and the game is called CS2D.

yeah, your right , www.cs2d.net can't use now The only dead thing is the PCS Project community.
Thank you for this game!
This guy will take care of filling this site with shitypost.
it is necessary to prohibit it.
Keep in mind that a retarded person will continue to do this kind of thing, and in reality he is not to blame.
beforehand, I clarify that I am not insulting anyone, I only tell them what kind of illness that child has, so that in the future they do not pay attention to their comments.
I have play CS2D since 2010 year ,then I was a child.
I am very happy when CS2D come to Steam and have 1000+ player online toghter.
But now.I dont want to play CS2D ,at lease dont want play it now.
I have tired to play it,CS2D is a good project, maybe little success.
But DC or SQ want delepove anthoter game,so CS2D long time not updata and Old player down,New player cannot find a server fun so exit game not open it again!
If DC or SQ really want to active this game
Please Develope new version ,more gun, more skin(maybe impossible),and Skin maybe chargeable!
maybe CS2DCN server gone in future, but who know?
Imagine discovering an entirely new realm of existence. It can be very hard and incredibly overwhelming for a newer player to have to wade through the depths of the Shadow Realm known as IranTown. To have to face off against a pro CS2D TriHard who will judge your approach on the CS2D competitive scene. Or even having to face the local Polishman in 1v1 hand to hand combat.
However I have figured out how to retain their interest in this masterpiece of a game that has deeply impacted all of us on a more personal level.
I think the most efficient solution here would be as follows.
We should drop laser and super armor, and open door for all the new players. Make the VIP and offer them to be Admin on all the servers. It would make them feel much more welcome. These changes could possibly increase the playerbase tenfold.
This is how Jesus intended it. Don't forget to thank the bus driver!

10/10. I say yes without a doubt. We should drop laser and super armor, and open door for all the new players. Make the VIP and offer them to be Admin on all the servers. It would make them feel much more welcome. These changes could possibly increase the playerbase tenfold.

What a well written reply, I fully stand by these facts you stated and agree.

Irantown was never and will never be a good server or anything good this community has seen. It's like the dirtiest area of a city where only those poor people live that steal and yell at each other or drink alcohol all day and dont like to work.
