As some people are aware of, I'm working an instrumental album (actually the second part of 'Musician Novel').
So far I'm working on notations, recording part haven't yet began.

So, I've recorded the last songs I wanted to publish before the album.
• Raindrops (Piano Original):

• Across the Desert (Guitar and Orchestra Original):

I'm forward to hear some feedback on these two

No mastering? It's all acoustic, make it softer. Raindrops is a good one, I like it. A bit repetitive but what can I say when I myself compose mostly trip-hop/hip-hop instrumentals which are all repetitive. Again, you would want to do some mastering before releasing, right? Raindrops sounds like if it was recorded on a cheap built-in microphone when I'm sure you got some at least semi-professional stuff. Mixing guitar and orchestra works... Well, quite experimental. Although I don't hear any specific orchestra instrumentals in second track - would you kindly tell me?

First, Raindrop is performed with synth, so there are no microphones.
Key's are divided to channels. There are six of them.
Two channels on low notes, two on mid melody, last two belongs to the high melody.
It's not repetitive at all, actually is less repetitive than basic song structure. Notes doesn't repeat at all, even when the theme is repeating. In the recording it's simplified version, since it's quite hard to learn and perform the original.

Second song, it's half-made with the sound on that one.
I do agree about that, though it was a first try with new stuff I brought.
Well If you cannot hear some specific orchestra elements on that one, it's really not my problem.

I hear none and I assume that there are none. Why don't you just tell me?

I'm playing in rock opera, so I've asked some friends to record clarinets and other few instruments.
From 1:09. Later on starts from 2:26

Now I hear that. Still, mastering would be highly appreciated. Guitar overcomes clarinets and it should be almost vice versa. Background & leading track should not be misplaced. You can also add a deep 4-toned bass to keep the leading track up with guitar playing in the background. Important thing here is not to make the bass funky and concentrate the bass on the leading track of your choice. Well it's still possible to make the guitar lead although is this particular track I see in background. Good luck!
