Monitor screen goes static/grainy occationally
2 replies I've been recently using an HP v220 monitor to connect my laptop to because the screen is currently cracked. Occasionally, the monitor screen just goes static/grainy for no reason. All the wires are connected and intact. Maybe yours monitor just died [*] or graphics port run over entire life. dunno no. Try to connect it to another device like standard PC. Which cable do you use? I had problems with a VGA/DVI cable (can't remember) connection even though it had screws.
