Other than that, you have first to check if your laptop supports upgrading your ram to 8 GB because some of them don't while some do.
It makes no sense to buy a console if you don't have a normal PC. So you decide - stay with what you have and get console or upgrade your PC properly and don't buy the console.
PC supports way more games and is used not just for gaming. I'd go for a better PC and postpone the console buying for later. But that's me. Maybe you use PC only for gaming, in which case it's all up to your personal preference of games - maybe you prefer console games over PC games, maybe not. Up to you.
Anyways, laptops aren't really made to be customizable. They're made to be compact and convenient.

You'll obviously need a dedicated graphics card for gaming but I think this CPU's iGPU will be more than enough in the first months. A 3rd party CPU cooler would be nice as well since this is an overclockable CPU but I didn't buy one for now. The idle temps are around 35C with the MX-4 thermal compound.
Aaaand: Putting the PC parts together isn't as hard as you think. You might want to watch some Youtube videos though.

Rainoth: Well, while you get game for a console you dont have to worry about if it will run or how it will run it. I will only get laptop, not PC. I usually go to friend or we go to different places to play, but now im only one with pretty bad laptop so i need better one to keep up with my friends (clans etc.) in games. So looks like its no use of this laptop anymore? Should i sell this one and save for new one? But budget will be pretty low. Example:

I'd not buy a gaming console, and use that money towards one of these laptops. The price range is usually around the thousand euro's. But well worth it if you do not want to have a PC.
Please do not upgrade your laptop, it's a waste
Unless you build your own laptop and know exactly what is compatible, for example, if your motherboard only supports DDR3 RAM type, buying a DDR4 will be a mistake. But, if you feel your laptop just needs to be a bit faster, sometimes only an SSD will do the job!I currently use an SSD to store all the games I want to play with ultra high settings, and things like documents, pictures and smaller games like CS2D and Terraria I store on my HDD. It saves space, you know.
VADemon and Yates wrote.The only reason why I would buy a console is to buy console exclusives and there's not even that many of them. It makes a lot more sense to get a normal PC. If you bring your laptop to places then I guess it can't be helped, otherwise, get a desktop because:
PC has a LOT more games which are either same as console or PC exclusive. PC allows you to personalize your experience, especially if you're using a desktop, you can make something depending on what you need (you can't really do that with laptops and you're paying extra just because it's a laptop). You get better specs for lower or equal to console price.Please, THINK THOROUGHLY before going with a console.
It's okay to buy a console (and I'll be doing it too soon enough) but only if you already have a decent PC because PC is not just games.

Give up on consoles and use your money on desktop/laptop.
Black Wolf: I'm a student in "Program Systems", a study programme for preparing people for IT sphere (the same thing SQ is about to finish). You'd guess we use laptops daily. Not really. My laptop had it's battery changed and it lasts up to 3 hours. It's totally enough and there are electric sockets everywhere. Unless you're going to uni in a desert, you'll be fine with 3.5 hours.Your laptop will be enough for studying as it is.
In other words. Get a desktop.
Currently you can't buy products directly from VillageTronic as they are trying to promote their new product ViCase at indiegogo.
But there is another huge problem. ExpressCard is dying, so that renders ViDocks pretty useless. And Thunderbolt isn't that widely spread either. WiGig could be the solution. I'm looking forward to it.

You will be somehow limited with your hardware but you are way more flexible then with a laptop.
